In The " Banking” Notion of Education Paulo Freire, takes a deeper check out the teacher – student marriage and how they will interact within the classroom. In the essay, Freire introduces two different approaches to teaching, the " banking” concept and the " problem- posing” concept. The a comparison of the teacher-student relationship to the operation of any bank amounts up the " banking” notion of education, in this form of education, the teacher is better than the students and feels like he is most knowing and the students are only ignorant. Teachers who utilize this concept do not realize that it removes from the student's imagination and creativity, and it only allows the scholars to accept the earth as it was educated to them. There was a time at my senior yr in secondary school when I knowledgeable a class room in which the bank concept was used.
